About:Tianjin Travel

What to do for five days with two kids in Tianjin

We will be in TJ in October for five days, with our two children.

Any recommendations on things to see and do?

Any recommended markets that sell a variety of things (clothes, electronics, trinkets etc) - is the shopping better in Beijing or TJ (quality, price, variety)?

We look forward to exploring TJ

Well, you can go and visit the local attractions, including Dagu Fort, Dabei Buddhist Temple, Mt. Panshan Scenic Area and Water Park. Besides, the local Ancient Culture Street deserves a visit as well. You can also take your kids to enjoy yourselves at Coastal Beach Resort (Haibin Yuchang) in the area.

Oh, the local Liaoning Road is a famous snack street, where you will have various local snacks.

Dahutong Pedestrian, a 700m long street, i a good choice for shopping. You can go there to find what you want.

As it is only around half an hour bullet train travel to Beijing, I suggest you spend one or two days in Beijing as well. Comparativley, shopping in Beijing is more recommended, because you will have more choices for prices, styles and qualities.
