About:Tibet Travel

what is required for a foreigner resident in china to enter tibet and travel there?

Can I travel in restricted zones with a friend without a tour group. Can I get the Aliens travel permit before entering tibet? Do I need the tibet travel permit if I already reside in China?

Generally speaking, it is not allowed to enter without joining a tour group and you still need a permit to enter there.
The permit can be get before entering there.
Since you have lived in China, it is suggested to ask the local police office for more detail information.
