About:Shanghai Taxi

What is the easiest way for 4 of us to get from Pudong Int. airport to Astor House Hotel Huangpu Rd?

We are arriving early evening and want to know what is the cost of the tain? or taxi? and which would be the best. I think there is a fast train into the city but then how do we get from Longyang station to our hotel?

If you are arriving between 17:00 and 19:00, I'm afraid you will suffer a lot, because it is the rush hours of this city. By taxi to travel from PVG to your hotel, the taxi fare is CNY170 or around. But due to the traffic condition, you may need to spend more.
By the maglev, it costs CNY50 per person from PVG to Longyang Road. Then you need to take the subway lin 2 to reach East Nanjing Road Station and then walk to reach your hotel.
Therefore, considering all, I suggest you take subway line 2 to East Nanjing Road. Get out from Exit 6, you can walk around 1,300m to your hotel then. The MTR fare is CNY7 per person.
