About:

Which stations for Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing? Can we buy tickets before we leave USA?

Hi,

My bf and I will be arriving by plane in Shenzhen on the Apr 22. Then leave on the 24th and take the train from Shenzhen to SH. Then on the 27th we take the train to Beijing. Which are the main or central stations for Shenzhen, SH and Beijjing? We just don't know which ones to leave from and arrive at.

Also can we buy tickets before we leave the US? Any websites (in English) you trust and recommend to buy the tickets from? How do we get the tickets if we purchase them from US?

From Shenzhen to SH, there are no bullet trains.
There are only two T-trains, which will take you almost 19 hours and if you want to take bullet trains, you need to transfer to other cities, so it is suggested to fly to reach from Shenzhen directly.
From SH to Beijing, you can go to Hongqiao Railway Station to take G-trains to reach Beijing South Railway Station in about 5 hours and a half.
You can book the tickets online at https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/ and this company will deliver the train tickets to your hotel in advance to the hotels you live in China. If you book through them, it is no need to worry about your train tickets any more.
