how much time is ideal to spend on tiananmen square and forbidden city

If you just wanna have a brief visit at the square, twenty minutes to half an hour can be enough. Well, for the palace complex, it is suggested to have a visit for 3-4h.

You MUST see the flag raising ceremony at TianAnMen sq in the early morning. Experience the atmosphere with the big crowd of people around the sq. It's really nice.Hope you enjoy ur stay in Beijing
