lost camera at Beijing Domestic Airport security check-in. How do I contact that department.

Which terminal were you checked? Anyway, here are the numbers of the Lost and Found Office at each terminal:
T1：010-64598333
T2：010-64598333
T3：010-64530030
Try to dail and ask whether it was found!
