Travel by train from Guangzhou airport to Hong kong. How to get to train station from airport?

How far is train station from airport and what transport available in July 2013

At the airport, you can take the shuttle bus line 6 to its terminus - Tianhe Terminal (CITIC Plaza), close to the East Railway Station. Then walk to this Railway Station to take the train to HK. Generally, the train station is about 40km from the airport.
