Dear Sir, is it required for British National (Overseas) passport holder to apply visa to Bolivia???

British passport holders can enter without visa. The stay permit on entering the country is 30 days and it can be extended for 60 days at no extra charge.0

I called talked to the Embassy in Bejing, but they said that my British National (Overseas) passport is not onto the list of visa-free countries. Confused!0
