About:Top 8 China Train Travel Tips You Should Know

Soft sleeper train Kunming - Lijiang, compartment capacity

Hi we intend to travel by taking the soft sleeper K-train from Kunming to Lijiang on 8 Jan 2014. There are 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids (age 12, 10 & 7). Would we be allowed to purchase 4 tickets and have all 5 of us put in one compartment?

If your smallest kid is lower than 120cm, you could purchase 4 tickets and stay in one cabin. Otherwise, you need to purchase 5 tickets.
