About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

Hi, urgent advice please! How can I apply for a visa to Hong Kong in my case below?

I hold a Cambodian passport but now studying in Melbourne. I have to present a paper at a conference, what type should I apply for? The conference organizer is surprised to hear they need to fill in another form to sponsor me :(
I've looked the Hong Kong's immigration website, and it doesn't really help :(

Have you tried to contact the consulate in Melbourne? Were you told by the officers there that you need another form from HK for application?
