About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I would like to ask how can I apply for a Chinese visa for our newborn child in US.

Our situation is the following:
I'm the Kazakhstan citizen and my husband is Russian Federation citizen, we are both studying in China, Beijing and have residence permit here. This summer we are planning to give a birth to our child, and we want to do it in America (as medicine here is very high–level). And after we want to come back to Beijing to study, but we need to do the Chinese visa (L) for our newborn child in USA (he will be the US citizen).
What documents do we need to prepare to apply for Chinese visa?
How much time it will take?

Your US visas should be provided for application, your baby's birth certificate as well. Also, you need to get your baby the US passport before application to China. The visa application itself takes 4 working days only.
