I am working and living in Shenyang and applied here for Korean visa. It's so easy. For 5 working days you can get your visa. I only gave them the photocopy of my passport, residence visa, certificate of employment, letter from my employer (assuring that I will come back for the time that I stated to leave and return since I am still under contract with them),my statement of account for the last 6 months( at least 10,000rmb), passport id.
They didn't ask me my itinerary ticket and hotel reservation. No interviews.Just passed the documents, fill up the form and gave the visa fee more than 100 rmb.
Good luck!
