About:Xinjiang Travel

April Trip to Xinjiang in Mid April for 10 days

I want to visit Urumqi and Kasghar mainly but wondering if its possible to go anywhere else in the time I have. What would you suggest? Also what is the best way to get to Kasghar?

Of course, it is possible. From Urumqi to Kashgar, the train takes over 25 hours. It is suggested to use train, so that you can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the rails.
You can stay in Urumqi and nearby four about three days and then four days to Kashgar.

Thank you for your information. I was looking at the train line and noticed it stops in Korla and Turpan. I was wondering, which one would you recommend more to visit. I will have 10 days in total and am doing kasghar and urumqi as well.

Also I would love to visit the Karakoram Highway and was wondering if it will be easy to visit from Kasghar on a day trip.

Personally, Turpan is more suggested. If you also travel at Korla, there are trains and buses running between.

To visit the Highway, it is suggested to hire a car.

first i warmly welcome to kashgar and xinjiang :
the urimqi is a mordern like other city of china so not worth to stay there ,
the kashgar is the best place stay longer see uyghur life .
I recomed to you turpan , kuqa , hotan , yarkan and kashgar .
