Do we need a visa for a transit in Beijing Airport for 6 hours

I am travelling to Australia on Air China and have a transit in Beijing Airport for 6 hours. I am on an australian passport but my two children are on UK passports. Do we need a transit visa, we are not intending to leave the airport?

Visa is not required for you all. And you can apply for a transit permit if you want to go out of the airport.
