About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

I'm a uk citizen, can I get a Chinese visa from Chicago?

I'm travelling and need a work visa for china, but the only city I spend more than 5 days in before I get to china is Chicago. Can I get it from here?

If you want to apply in Chicago, you need to provide proof of US residency status, work or study, any proof of residency in Chicago (e.g. ID, water or electricity bills or tenancy agreement, etc. or a valid US visa.
