About:China Visa Exemption

Visa when departing from China on the Trans-mongolian?

I am an American citizen, but currently a teacher in South Korea. My contract finishes in May and I plan on traveling on the Trans-Mongolian...I will depart from Beijing (stay in Beijing for two days) and then return to Beijing via the Trans-Mongolian and fly out of Beijing. Do I still ned a visa? And if so, how should I obtain it?

Yes, you need to apply for a double entry Chinese visa as you will enter China twice. But I am afraid you can not get one in South Korea if you finishi your contract soon. You may need to send application back to US or try to apply in Japan instead.
