Does Filipino require a visit visa in Hong Kong for a day travel?

My wife and I are travelling this December 2013 to Singapore and by chance we will have to stop over to HK for almost a day before our next flight. Can we go outside the airport to rest in some hotel and explore HK a little before our next flight at the afternoon the next day.

If yes, what are the requirements we need if we have already booked a hotel to stay for a night in HK.

Thank you very much.

Phillipines are allowed to stay 14 days in HK for free-visa. Therefore, you can surely have a one-day travel there.
