About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Obtaining a temporary residence permit for my partner

I'm in negotiations to relocate to Shanghai from my job in the U.S. They're offering me a full relocation package and work visa assistance, so I'm covered. However, my girlfriend is not. We're not even sure where to start in terms of getting her a temporary residence permit (or any other option) for her to live over there with me.

Hi, if you are not married, I am afraid it is difficult for her to get a visa as dependent. As I know, your girlfriend can only able to apply tourist L visa, which residence permit is not available for her.
