About:Chinese Holidays

when are the 'golden weeks'? do business shutdown?

ive been working this electronics company an they said they would be shutting down for the national holiday and acted like it would be a month and stopped taking orders a week ahead of time. their website is still not up... i was wondering if it had anything to do with the 'golden week's which absorbs the 'national holiday'

The Golden weeks usually refers to the National Holiday in October and this holiday usually lasts for an week. During the holiday, most of the factories stop working. But different factories have their own special arrangements for the holiday, so for the detail and exact information of the holiday, it is suggested to ask the company you are working with.
