48 hours transit via shanghai

My daughter is a UK citizen living in Spain, booked flights from Madrid to Shanghai (48hrs plus 40min in transit), then Hong Kong. Does she need to apply for a visa? Thanks

No, visa is exempted. She can use the 72 hour free transit if she has ticket leaving for HK.
