About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

visa and travel

In '84-85 I travelled freely in China for 4 months, I would like to go back, but have been told that I may not be able to travel freely,or without a pre arranged itinery, as a backpacker wishing to stay in places only available on arrival, is this still possible?Where is the best place to get my visa? Last time I got one in Hong Kong.I would also like to spend sometime studying Tai Chi does this make a difference? I will be checking this page for some months as I hope to go in june, so please feel free to post comments untill June .... Thank you..

Hi Joe, you need to apply for a tourist L in Australia, in April or May if you plan to visit in June. For application, that is true that you need to provide hotel bookings and exit flight booking (bookings for first few nights should be ok). Your previous Chinese visa is useful as well. May I know it where you are fromso that I can not tell you the right place?
