The exact day of the cherry blosson is not decided yet. Generally speaking, it starts from the late March and lasted for about half of a month.
Qingbaijiang is famous for the cherry festival, while the Xinjin is a good place to have relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and there you can enjoy the Pear Blossom Festival. Longquan is famous for its beautiful scenery as well as the culture.
For Longquan, you may need to climb, but it is not steep, so please do not worry about it. Yes, old people can climb.

Well, you do not need to climb hill at Qingbaishan to enjoy the cherry blossom.
For Xinjin, you may climb if you wanna appreciate the activities held at Mt. Laojun. For other sites, the bus can take you there and the old people can freely enjoy themselves then.
