About:

I'm planning to travel to Putuoshan at March 28, 29 and 30. Will I see any commemoration to Guanyin?

I already reserved a hotel for twoo nights and I'm arriving by boatfrom Shanghai the 28 March 2013 around 12:00 a.m.. I read somewhere that this date was for commemorating the birthday of Guanyin, but someone told me the birthday of the goddess is the 19 February. I would like to be sure that there will be some ceremony connected to Guanyin these days. Thank you very much for your kind answer,

Generally speaking, there is a ceremony, but the activity of this year is not published to the public.
The birthday of Guanyin is the 19 Feb on Chinese calender, so it is March 30 this year.

Thank you very much for your kind help, Henry. Your answer is quite usefull, as I almost cancelled the reservation because of the confusion of the dates.
