Ireland/UK Consulate?

I have lived in Northern Ireland all my life. It is part of the UK however I hold an Irish passport.
If I have any problems in China, do I contact Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the United Kingdom or in Ireland?

Pardon? Since you are an Irish, you should contact Irish embassy in China if you have any emergency in China. If you mean where to apply for a Chinese visa, you can go back to Ireland or just apply for it at CVASC in Edinburgh.
