Can i buy tickets at the station for trains originating from a different city?

for example buy a ticket from Wuhan to Chongqing when i'm in Shanghai and from Guilin to Guangzhou in Chengdu? Also i fly from Chengdu to Guilin and i have a double entry visa, will they use the second entry for this flight? thanks!
