About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

My children are both adopted, one from China, one from Kazakhstan do I need both native passports??

Do they want the chinese and Kazakh passport or a copy of it? Also, for my son, I only have a copy of his birth certificate in Kazakh with translation. Is that ok?
THANK YOU!

Chinese passport is required if appliant's former nationality was Chinese. Your son can use his US passport for application. I am not sure if his birth certificate with translation are required or not, so you may try to contact the embassy directly for this.
