About:China Visa Application in UK

Is there a transit visa that lets me leave the airport for several hours between flights?

I have a 15 hour layover in Beijing between international flights. Can I leave the airport and rest in a hotel nearby? How much is the visa?

Hi, if you hold US passport, you are not required visa to transit in Beijing for 72 hours. You will be granted a free transit permit at the airport to go out to the city.
