About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We are travelling from Australia to London and have a 19hr stopover in Beijing...

1. are we eligible for visa free status? and 2. will that be long enough for us to leave the airport and see the Forbidden City and perhaps the Great Wall? 3. is it best to do an organised tour or just catch public transport?
thanks!

Dear Sam, you are qualified for the 72h visa-free policy. Don't worry! You can go out of the airport. If your transit duration is mostly in the daytime, 19h is enough to visit the Forbidden City and the nearby attractions. I don't think time is sufficient if you also wanna have a good visit at Great Wall and the Forbidden City together in the 19 hours.

As your travel time is limited, a travel agency would help you to enjoy a lot whilst save your time as much as possible. Well, I recommend TravelChinaGuide to you. It is really a very good travel company which provides the service of picking you up at the airport, taking you travel in the attractions and seeing you off after your transit or travel. Here is their email address: tours@travelchinaguide.com.
Good luck!
