About:China Transit Visa

Business trip to Korea/China

At first I am flying from Germany to Korea, Seoul. Afterwards I will fly to Beijing stay there max 72 h before I fly back to Germany, Munich. Flights are already booked accordingly. Can I go out of the airport to Beijing city without visa.
A second option would to fly back to Korea, Seoul and then back to Germany. Would this fulfill the criterias for transit permit?

Yes, you are qualified to use 72 hour visa-free transit in Beijing if you have confirmed ticket to Germany. You are allowed to visit Beijing city with a trasnit permit issued at the airport.

A trip with single return flight (Seoul-Beijing-Seoul) does not mean a transit in Beijing, so visa is required then.
