About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Filipino living in Japan

Hi! I'm currently working in Japan and I'd like to visit Beijing on March during my spring break. Are the requirements needed like the bank certificates are still needed for me do get the Chinese tourist visa? I did call their embassy in Tokyo sad to say no one can speak good English just Japanese. Sad to say I can't speak Japanese so basically there's a language gap.
