What mode of transport can I use my Octopus Card if I stay in Shatin for 7 nights

Also can it be used to go everywhere I need to go in by public transport.

Can it be purchased before reaching HK.

Hi, you can use the Octopus on most buses, MTR and Airport Express Train. However, some red minibuses cannot be paid by Octopus Card, which cannot be used to pay taxi fare either.

Do you mean purchasing the card online? Well, yes. You can pay for that online and get your card at any or specified MTR Customer Service Centre when you arrive at HK.
