The shops will open after Feb 24th.
There is no winter sale in Canton I think.
From you where are, you can take a taxi or walk to local railway station to take local subway line 2 to reach Changgang Station where you can change to line 8 to reach Pazhou Station. After you get out of the station, you can find the comples and expo center.
If you do not want to buy in large quantity, you can go to local shopping mall on Beijing Road.
Buy high quality hairpiece, you can go to Meibocheng, which is close to Exit D of Sanyuanli Subway Station.

4.How do I get to Beijing Road from my hotel and how far is it?
5. What is the weather like in Yuexiu around the first week of March and are there still winter clothes being sold in March in Yuexiu

Hi, as for your questions, hereunder is my suggestion;
1. From Zhanxi Road, Yuexiu District to Sanyuanli, the best way is to take a taxi. Besides, you can walk to the nearby Railway Station MTR Station to take subway line 2 to reach Sanyuanli Station. You can find very clear notices and signs marked both in Chinese and English in the MTR stations. Don't worry!
2. That's right. meibocheng is a large market showing and trading the highly-rated cosmetics. As I know, the market just provides the items of hair-care, not offers haircut. Anyway, you can go and consult further.
3. As I know, the nearest bags' market is at Sanyuanli, and you can walk from your hotel to reach.
To get jewellery, I suggest you go to Liwan Sqaure near Shangxiajiulu. A taxi can take you from your hotel to the location exactly and it is only about 6.5km away.
4. Beijing Road is only about 5km from your hotel. If you take a taxi, you can reach in 10min. Or you can walk from your hotel to Sanyuanli MTR Station to take subway line 2 and get off at Gongyuanqian Station. Then walk to beijing Road within 800m.
5. Well, Yuexiu District is a part of GZ. It will be cloudy and the temperature ranges from 10C to 22C. On March. 2 and March 7, it may rain a little. I don't think the winter clothes are necessary. You can take along a light sweater, coat and jeans.
