About:Chinese Consulates in Japan

Is there a way to get a visa while working in Japan without going to consulate office?

I am a US citizen, teaching English at the JASDF air base near Nagoya for 6 months on an official passport through DOD on the SOFA agreement, so I don't have a Japanese visa. I have a trip to China planned and paid for and all my documentation, application, picture, etc. ready to go, but I'm not allowed to leave my job during working hours and the consulate office only accepts applications from 9-12 M-F. Is there an alternative to applying in person?
Thanks,
Carole

Yes, you can pass your application to someone else or a travel agency if you can not go in person.
