About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

USA Citizen but HK resident applying for China Z visa

I am a USA Citizen but holding HK permanent residency. I need to apply for a Z visa for China. How can I apply? I am told I need to go back to USA to apply.

If you are told to apply it in the USA, then just go back and get it ready. By the way, you have to prepare all the documents required. The documents you have to prepare:

I think you can apply it at the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as long as you have HK permanent residency. And the original or copy of your personal Hong Kong Identity Card and a copy of the said ID card, besides the passports and other required documents.
