visit leshanmount emei

Hello! I'm planning a travel around China this summer. I'm arriving Chengdu 04th of august at night, I want to see the pandas the next day and Chengdu city, and the 6th go to Leshan and the Mount Emei. Do you think is possible to visit both places in one day and go back to Chengdu at time to catch a plane to Shanghai at night? Or at least visit the Big Buddha and return to Chengdu in the same day? I'm thinking also in the possibility of staying the night of the 6th in Leshan and take the plane the next day (7th). What would you recommend me? Thanks :-)

It is impossbile to visit both places in one day. It is suggested to visit the Buddha and return to Chengdu and then stay a night. The last bus from LS to Chengdu is around 19:30. From LS to Chengdu, you may need about two hours. You can stay one night in Chengdu and take the morning flight to reach Shanghi the next day, otherwise, you may be in a rush.
