confusion of visa requirement

I seem to be getting different answers as to what i need to send for a visa when travelling with a tour leaving New Zealand. My understanding..we need to send our original passport and copy of our travel itinerary. Do we need a color passport photo ( they only take black and white now ) and bank statement as i have seen in some forums. Could you please clarify what is actually need to apply.

According to what I learned, a color passport photo is needed since it is affixed with your completed visa form. As for the bank statement, it is required for individual tourists. Since you join a tour group, bank statement is not needed.
