Confusion regarding time slots

What does time slot on the ticket mean??
If the time slot is 8 am -12 pm then does It means we can come on the time 8 am and we must go back on 12 pm. Please let us know soon??s

It means you need to enter it during this time slot and you can visit it till it closes.

On the website for Longmen Grottoes, it states its opening hours from 8am to 5pm. However there are 2 time slots which you need to select when purchasing the tickets. The question asked was, if I purchase the ticket with time slot 8am to 1230pm, do I have to leave the place by 1230pm? Or I need to buy another ticket for the afternoon slot? Thanks in advance.

No, you need to enter from 08:00 - 12:30am and exit before 05:00pm. You don't need to buy another ticket for the afternoon slot.
