Do not stay longer than the date of your visa expires, you will be fined for overstaying. To extend your current L is possible. Just visit Beijing Exit-Enter Administration (PSB) on their working days one week before it expires. Documents needed are your passport, photo, the temporary residence permit and bank deposit with at least RMB 21,000. The amount of money required equals to USD3,000 for 30 days extension.
