About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

Apply in person?

We live in Oregon and have confirmed trip to China in late March. As American Citizen, I understand that we need tourist Visas. Do we need to apply in person? If we cannot fly to SFO, does this mean we have to ask our travel agent to apply for us?

You can entrust anyone else or a travel agent to handle this on your behalf if you can not go in person.
