About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

can i apply for my american wife come to china when I am Iranian and student in china

I am student in china and I have resident permit for 4 years from 2011 to 2015.
if i have certificate of my marriage in Thailand can I apply for her come to china for stay with me in Chinese embassy in Thailand? how long should be her L visa? can I extend it in china? which document I need for that?

If you are married, your wife is eligible to get a family visit visa L. But it may not be as longer as yours, let's say few months stay in China. Generally, it can be extended within China. Marriage certificate issued in other language should be translated into Chinese first, and then attested by local foreign affairs and Chinese embassy.

I ask for chines translate but local foreign affairs didn't confirm that just they accept english version and I send english version for local foreign affairs and chinese embassy.
