Is it necessary to buy airline ticket before applying for visa?

I am Russian student with Finnish residence permit. I am studying in Kouvola and would like to apply for F in Helsinki to have internship in China. Is it necessary to buy round-trip airline ticket before applying? Or I can do it after after obtaining it?

Hi, you need to get round-trip airline ticket and hotel reservation for business visa application.
