About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am going to Macau for business .I am American citizen and I don't need visa to Macau.

Can I stay in shanghai without a visa for three days?

If you fly to Shanghai and then make a transfer to Macau, the visa is not needed; otherwise, you need to apply for a visa.
