About:Chinese Consulate in Brisbane

A consular update advises no visa required for transit up to 72 hours. Does this apply to cruises?

We will be visiting Shanghai on 26th March on Sea Princess. We will be in port only one day? Under the new consular update is a visa required for that one day visit?

No, if you travel by cruise, you need to apply for a Chinese tourist visa in advance. This policy applies to transit passengers via Beijng and Shanghai airports only.
