extension within china with single entry.

Question

I am sri lankan married to my Chinese girl I am currently holding valid 6 months visa, What I want to know is that my 6 months I got from here because from Sri Lanka I got Multiple 1 year but I can stay only 30 days so I reapply from the exit entry shanghai and got 6 months with 1 entry which still valid  until June, But unfortunately  myself and my wife will be coming to Sri Lanka on April I want to know when I arrive to sri lanka with this visa will it expire? Because it is with 1 entry which means I have reapply again a new one from Sri Lanka to come back with my wife right ? Please give me an advice in advance,Thank you in Advance.

Hi, the current single entry has not be used for entry, so it is good for re-entry from Sri Lanka. I saw someone got extension with 0 entry last year. You can confirm this with Exit-Entry Bureau or a visa agency if possible.

Hi thanks for your reply Yes I get your point but the problem is that I have got 1st times 6 months with 1 entry and this 6 months with 1 entry is my last one I can apply they said from the exit entry place . Because I can renew it 2 times from china only so this is my last time they have issued me . So that means when I go to sri lanka early or on June I cannot come back without getting another new one from Sri Lanka Chinese embassy . What my question is it possible to reapply a new one from chinese embassy when I arrive with my wife ? Even though it expires on June but 1 entry ? Oh is it best to go the exit entry department and make sure about this ?

As to my knowledge, you can re-enter China with the current visa because the only entry is issued within China and you have not use it yet. After re-entry you can extend it if necessary. If you were told that it is the last one you can get within China, that means you can extend it twice at most. Then, you need to apply for new visa from Sri Lanka if you need to visit China again. Anyway, the most reliable answer should be from PSB.

Hi Alysa thank you very much for your reply you have been giving me straight forward answer I really appreciate it . Yes that's right you've got my point so from the PSB already told me that i can only renew my L only for twice which means I have to get a new one from Sri lanka, because you see Alysa even if I could come with this entry according what you say well I think I still have to go back to Sri Lanka to get a new one so I think might as well this time I will get an new one so with that when I am here I have a chance to renew it for 2 times again.Thank you for your kind consideration Alysa.Take care,Regards,Robert.

Hey hello Alysa I went today to exit entry department your right I can come back to china as I a already have 1 entry but I ask  them if I can renew my visa here if that so they said its better for me to apply from my country as I have already got 2 times renewed from here plus If I had translated my marriage certificate from here then i can get 1 year straight visa but for that myself and my wife have to go to her born place so for now I think I will get it from my country for 6 months not a problem anyway.
