Null in this case actually means that package cannot be located by the system (its exact location). It doesn't mean it's lost (it isn't), just that it's "in between" steps (for example in flight or still not registered at its new location abroad...). After null packages usually arrive to their destination, though sometimes you could just see them being yet in China... So, to summarize, when you see null all you can do is wait further more (since it makes you know nothing of exact package location). No need to worry (except to be angry at Chinese post for their terrible tracking system).

Filip, that depends, it's different from country to country. In Serbia, a postman brings the package to my apartment. If he doesn't find me, he leaves a note, so I go to pick it up at the post office myself. In Germany for example, my experience was that I was noted from the customs to go and take my package. Instead of going to your post office each few days, I suppose you could just call them and ask. Or to try luck with their tracking system online in the mean time.

Null means ur package has be opened ,by customs as weight does not add up to certain itemd which is caused by packaging I recieved my items two days after seeing null pvg and im in uk. They did not bother to te tape my parcels how ever so check everything is there.

Actually, null is not related to customs opening packages and it can have any from the various meanings. But it always means that item is in transit at some of airports. With customs it depends on your luck. My packages were never opened, including the one that just arrived. It had NULL status. And it looked this way, as horrific as it is:

i would assume that your item is in peking international customs for inspection before sending to destination country, but they could very well say that in tracking

ALL, above. I use 17track.net and is more reliable and more detailed than other ways of tracking. Having said that I find that every so often it if reverts to data 2 or 3 days old but when you try again hours later data is back up to date.
1) Put in tracking number 2) hit trace 3) select translate option 4) open the Expand option 5)mouse over details for translation (or you could copy and paste into Google Translate instead).

Eimera- RA471637511CN. Stuff from China normally take 4-8 weeks to get to Ireland. This was shipped about 5 days ago and looks like it en route. But would allow 4/5 days to get here as it goes to Copenhagen first. Then when into Dublin customs etc allow another 4/5 days then 2/3 days for An Post.

I am tracking a parcel myself and it says it is in Dublin but I can not get it on the local post system YET. Under the heading 'Destination' for me is shows 'not available'. When it is in the local post system this changes from ' Not Available' to "Normal Tacking'. In YOUR case it in 'normal tracking' and from examples I've seen this can only mean it is in the Czech system. Perhaps it just take a few days to show up - it takes 5/6 days here.

In 17track mine was tracked to Dublin a few days ago and then reverted to PEK, NULL on 7th. When I tried again next day it was updated till the 10th (showing Dublin) and today it is back at NULL on he 7th.
As mentioned before the info coming from China post is erratic and one can only try 17tracker several times a day. Save a copy of any updated info for your own info before it vanishes again!

Is there a guide that explains the codes?

I have the same problem! It says NULL. I searched on the page that you use, and it says that my package is at the Shanghai Airport and that the country of destination is Rusia, but I'm from Argentina!! Is that normal??

I have sent 3 packages since 25/05. I have paid premium for all of them to travel by 'air' and for each one of those different post office clerk confirmed it is 10 days for delivery to destination ???????
When tracking online, it looks like none of those has left China jet and they are all at status NULL.
Please could you help with verify when they will reach destination?
