About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Don't have Visa for onward destination. Am I able to leave the airport for sightseeing?

I have a 24hr layover in Shanghai. I am travelling from Vancouver - Shanghai - Taipei City. I don't require a visa for Taipei City as I am issued a 30 day visa upon arrival.

Yes, you can leave the airport, but you still need to show your valid passport and flight ticket.
