About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

overnight stay in shanghai

Hi!

I am planing an overnight stay in Shanghai city since I have 16 hours gap between 2 flights ( melbourne-shanghai and shanghai-london). If I understand correctly I dont need extra visa just 72-hours vis free transit. I already booked a hotel in Shanghai for 1 night.
What is the procedure to get this kind of permit? Can i get it at the Pudong Airport?

Thanks in advance.

Miha

Actually, you don't need any permit. Just show your valid passport, visa of your destination country and connecting flight ticket, and you can go out of the airport.
