Arriving by ship to Shanghai

We are Americans who would like to take a ship from Singapore to Shanghai. On departing the ship in Shanghai, we would like to stay there 3 days before flying home. Can we benefit from the visa exemption?

No, this 72 hour visa free transit applies to air passengers only. You should get a visa in advance if you travel by cruise.
