Hi, Do the bus trips stay on their own side of the river? Can I use US dollars to pay?

What do you mean by "stay on their own ide of the river"? Generally, you can catch the bus at the attractions as is listed on this website. Besides, there are some special ones along the Nanjing Pedestrian.
As I know, you cannot pay for the bus with USD.
