About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

International transfer at Baiyun Airport.

Flying Heathrow to Auckland via Guangzhou...change planes 6 hr wait.
Q. Do you collect luggage and then book it in for next flight or is it done automatically? Need any permit/visa for brief stop in airport? Not a seasoned flier!!!

If you check-in the luggage through from heathrow to Auckland, you have no need to collet and recheck-in it. Otherwise, you need to recheck-in your luggage at Baiyun airport. You do not need a visa for such a short stay in the airport.

Thanks Kevin for responding. We have tickets Heathrow to Auckland wth a change of flight at Baiyun so guess no need to worry re collecting and re-checking in at Baiyun.
